Why people attend university?

Every year thousands of people apply to enter the university. There are variety of reasons to attend university and each person finds something to support his/her choice. There are different aspects to attract us to apply this or that university.

First, studying in university is a great chance to receive knowledge and practical skills. School education is not practical and limited education. You can study some biological science that you will never meet in your practical life. At University there are lots of courses to study; so while choosing one major profession you can receive practical education which will help you during your life to become a good specialist and worker as well as to be a well- informed citizen. From my parents’ life experience I have understood that it is very important to receive practical knowledge from the university.

Second, while studying in university we can have an opportunity to take part in different forums being in the center of social activities. During college years, we can participate in different events or acknowledgement programs organized by university or other educational companies. So it is important part of our education process because you can definitely meet different people and make new friends and relationships. For instance, now I study in high school and because of being active student, my school offers me to participate in forums. It is interesting and at the same time very helpful practice for me.  

Third, university is the shortest way that connects student with labor market. If a person is ambitious and his future work will not just be a way for him to receive salary, university is the best solution. It is helpful to become highly qualified specialist; so it is very important preparation for one’s career. You receive practical and theoretical skills to use during your work and if you want to find a well-paid job it will be very hard to realize without diploma of high education (as it is in my country).

After speaking about these aspects of attending university I think it is clear that good education is the real evidence for good career.
